Central Paint History | Our Staff

Central paint Supply was opened in January 1998 by John (Pudge) Fortin and Leon Bousquet. We leased our first, 1200 square foot location in Shrewsbury on Rte 140. We started with a used Red Astro van and an old Wood Grain Caravan as our first two delivery vehicles. Two years later we expanded to 2400 square feet. Soon after that, more space was needed so we went to 3600 square feet. In 2005, we purchased a 14,400 square foot building in Worcester at 8 Nebraska Street.

Our idea was to have a paint store that went beyond the traditional service level currently in the market place. We were dedicated to making sure that our customers had the products and tools they needed to succeed. What we saw around us were our competitors just jamming products down the customer’s throats with no regard to what actual tools and products their business needed.

That tradition of putting our customers first has helped us become what we are today. We were awarded PPG Platinum status in our third year of business. We achieved Platinum Plus status within three years after that.

Central Paint has received the Platinum Plus Jobber Award for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. We also won the Region One Platinum Plus Award for 2007. We also received the PaceSetter Runner-Up Award for Region One in 2007.

We look forward to serving the needs of our customers and helping them achieve their dreams by making them as profitable as possible. Tailoring our offerings to meet the demands of customers will always be the focus of our business.
